COOLAMON ROTARY CLUB CHRISTMAS PARTY.
President Mary welcomed 28 members and many guests, too numerous to get all their names. There were over 50 in attendance last night.
President Mary opened the meeting by stating that dinner was ready to be served by Michelle Seymour, and an excellent fare was presented for our indulgence.
There was no business discussed and after dinner President Mary Potts inducted two new members to our club.
Michael Trinidad sponsored by Henk Hulsman and Mark Dubois whose sponsor is Dick Jennings.
Welcome to Rotary International and to the Coolamon Rotary Club, Michael and Mark. We look forward to your company over the years and serving our local community and working on international projects.
Following the induction of Michael and Mark; PP Paul Weston gave a vote of thanks to Sharon Miles for her amazing work as the editor of the Coolamon Community Chronicle. Paul presented Sharon with a lovely floral tribute.
This was followed by a farewell to John Nulty by President Mary, Jan and John are moving to Wagga Wagga. John has been a member of our club for the past 10 years. John will be missed by us all and we wish Jan and John all the best for their new life in Wagga.
Following this farewell Mary introduced Geoff McKenzie the new editor for the Coolamon Community Chronicle. Geoff in response asked for help in obtaining articles for the monthly Chronicle. An example would be an article from one of our farmers on this year’s harvest.
