COOLAMON ROTARY CLUB MEETING MARCH 31st.

We had a great night at the Marrar Hotel.  There were no formalities or introductions all in all 21 guests and members went to the pub!  The food was excellent and the social night was a great success.  Thanks to Bear and Ian for the organisation.

GRIFFITH ROTARY CLUB TURNS 80.

A great night at La Scala celebrating 80 years of the chartering of the Rotary Club of Griffith. A black tie event with General Peter Cosgrove and Lady Lyn. Four outstanding Rotarians were honoured with Paul Harris Fellowship presented by District Governor Rob Uhl. Rotarians from Griffith East, Griffith Avanti, Yenda and Leeton came together to celebrate the occasion. The cake was cut by Don Best who has been in Rotary nearly 60 years.

The first Rotaract UN Days brought about 200 young people to the United Nations Office at Geneva for four days of inspiring discussions about human rights, health, economic development, peace, and science — and of course some fun (they’re Rotaractors, after all).  We asked three participants in the 30 October-2 November gathering to tell us about the experience, their takeaways, and what it was like to enter the halls of the historic Palais des Nations.
