Coolamon Rotary Bulletin #1819 – 6

Week of 6th August, 2018

President Daryl welcomed 13 members plus guest Helen L.

We all enjoyed some delicious steamed dumplings for entree & a beaut chicken main course.

Points of discussion for the night included:

  • Daryl reminded members of the guest speaker Robyn Lewis next week.
  • Neil did a little promo for Bingo, which generated some ideas from members, including posting a sign indicating the location of Allawah Community Centre.
  • If apologising later than midday on Monday, please give the restaurant a call directly on 6927 3552 or Gilbert on 0438 273 438;  please avoid phoning John N after that time as numbers have been given to restaurant by then.
  • Dave Post has asked Wayne to talk to us about gathering more Mate Keepers in our local community & the possibility of having a public meeting to promote the concept – a date to be organised.
  • Wayne is asking for volunteers to help cut firewood out front of his place.
  • Trivia Night in Ganmain, on Saturday September 8th – Rotary Club asked to support with a table or two.
  • Neil promoted Centurian Club for more members to sign up by finding forms on the District website.
  • Our club will provide catering out of the food van for the Fire Engine Muster on Sept. 30th.
  • After discussion, we will pursue further the opportunity of having retro or vintage caravans here on the Easter Saturday market day.
