Week of 20th August, 2018
President Daryl welcomed 13 members and presented Dave McK with his director’s badge as he was away on the changeover night. We all then enjoyed a beautiful steak and veges & banana fritters for desert.
As there was no speaker on the evening we discussed upcoming events, including:
- the planning for catering at this w/e event for the Randall family fundraiser. A roster sent around, but there are a few gaps to be filled. If you are able to help on the day please let Secretary Paul know.
- Jake the local police officer will be guest speaker next week. Should be an interesting evening!
- Friday Sept 7 – Junior football & netball presentation night; we are catering at the back of the Sport & Rec Club & our club is covering the cost of the meat.
- Motion approved that we donate $1000 to the drought appeal which we will send to David Benn, the local coordinator.
- Daryl brought up the possibility of changing venue for Bingo to the Uniting Church hall; it was decided that the 6 captains will have a meeting to discuss.
The winner for the correct answer in the Bulletin was Dick J.
John Bond was the lucky winner of the raffle.
